What is Waystones?
Waystones by BlayTheNinth adds carved stone markers that form a personal fast-travel network: activate a waystone by touching it once, and from then on teleport to it from any other waystone (or with warp items) for a configurable XP cost. It covers Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge.
Waystones generate naturally in villages and the wild, so exploration steadily grows your network even before you craft your own.
Using and Building the Network
- Activate by right-clicking any waystone you find; it joins your personal list permanently.
- Travel by using a waystone and picking a destination from the menu. Costs (XP levels by distance or flat) follow server config.
- Craft your own waystones to place at bases; the block is craftable at mid-game cost, and naming each waystone keeps your destination list organized.
- Warp items: the reusable Warp Stone (cooldown) and consumable Warp Scrolls teleport to any activated waystone from anywhere; the Return Scroll heads to the nearest/last waystone.
- Shared infrastructure: Sharestones (color-coded, usable by everyone), Portstones (one-way arrival points), and inter-dimension support let servers build public transit.
- Admin controls cover activation broadcasting, costs, and whether waystones are breakable.
Tip: Standard server pattern: a Sharestone hub at spawn plus village waystones players activate while exploring. Everyone's network grows the same way, and no coordinates ever hit chat.

How do waystone teleport costs work?
Default config charges XP levels scaling with distance (capped), with free intra-dimension short hops on some presets. Servers tune or remove costs entirely.
Can everyone use my waystone?
Waystones themselves activate per player; anyone touching one adds it to their own list. Global (Sharestone) and one-way (Portstone) variants cover shared-network use cases.
Do waystones work across dimensions?
Yes, by default cross-dimension teleports work (config-dependent), and dimensional cost multipliers are configurable.
