What is Comforts?
Comforts by TheIllusiveC4 adds two portable sleep options that leave your spawn point alone: the sleeping bag for skipping nights on the road, and the hammock for sleeping through the day. Both come in all sixteen colors on Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge.
Explorers get the whole value proposition in one line: sleep anywhere, wake up, and your bed at home still owns your respawn.
Bags, Hammocks, and Behavior
- Sleeping bags place on any flat ground, roll up after use, and skip night exactly like a bed minus the spawn-set. Slight config-dependent debuffs or bonuses vary by pack.
- Hammocks string between fences or walls and invert the mechanic: sleep through the day into night, made for mob farmers, Nether-adjacent schedules, and phantom management on servers where nights matter.
- No spawn change, ever — the entire point. Death after a week in a bag still returns you home.
- Multiplayer sleep counts bags and hammocks toward sleep-percentage rules like normal beds.
- Craft cost is wool and string cheap; carrying two colors (bag and hammock) covers every schedule.
The mod pairs with Curios-slot addons in some packs for even faster access, and Traveler's Backpack users may prefer its built-in bag — Comforts covers everyone else.
Comforts FAQ
Do Comforts sleeping bags set your spawn?
No. Neither bags nor hammocks touch your respawn point; that is the mod's core feature.
What does the hammock do differently?
Hammocks skip day into night (usable during daytime), while sleeping bags skip night into day like beds. Hammocks also need two anchor points to hang between.
