What is Repurposed Structures?
Repurposed Structures by TelepathicGrunt fills an old gap: vanilla restricts villages to a few biomes and mineshafts to plain stone. The mod generates biome- and dimension-appropriate variants of vanilla structures everywhere they plausibly belong — jungle villages, Nether mineshafts, End strongholds, snowy witch huts, badlands dungeons.
Everything reuses vanilla structure logic and loot sensibilities, so the additions read as content vanilla forgot rather than modded intrusions. Available for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge.
Representative Variants
- Villages for jungles, swamps, mountains, and Nether-crimson hosts, with profession blocks intact.
- Mineshafts themed per biome and per dimension, from icy and jungle variants to the signature Nether mineshafts built of crimson planks.
- Dungeons with biome-flavored spawner rooms and loot spreads.
- Strongholds and fortresses echoing into dimensions vanilla never placed them.
- Wells, outposts, shipwrecks, ruins, and temples rounding out the variant catalog.
Configuration is exhaustive — every structure type toggles and tunes independently, down to spacing and biome lists — and pack authors use it heavily. The mod cooperates with YUNG's overhauls and structure compasses list all variants by name.
Repurposed Structures FAQ
Does Repurposed Structures conflict with YUNG's Better structures?
No, they complement: YUNG's rebuilds the vanilla instances while Repurposed Structures adds variants in new biomes and dimensions. Many packs run both.
Can I disable specific structures?
Yes, per-structure config covers toggles, rarity, and biome restrictions for everything the mod adds.
