What is Easy Anvils?

Easy Anvils by Fuzs reworks the anvil's worst behaviors: the prior-work penalty that doubles costs until "Too Expensive!", items vanishing from the GUI when you close it, and renames costing levels. The anvil becomes the tool the game always implied it was.

It ships for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge with every change individually configurable.

What Changes

  • No prior-work penalty: repeated repairs and enchant merges stop inflating; the dreaded Too Expensive ceiling disappears by default.
  • Items stay put: anvil slots hold their contents when the screen closes, and hoppers can interact — small automation unlocks included.
  • Free renames (or near-free, per config), and renaming keeps other costs untouched.
  • Better durability odds: anvil degradation chances adjust configurably, so your anvil survives more sessions.
  • Enchantment transfer niceties depending on version, like friendlier book-merging costs.

Every tweak has a config toggle, letting packs pick a vanilla-plus subset or the full rework. For players, the practical effect: your endgame pickaxe keeps accepting repairs forever.

Easy Anvils FAQ

Does Easy Anvils remove "Too Expensive"?

Yes, by removing the accumulating prior-work penalty by default. Individual costs still apply; they simply stop compounding each use.

Is it needed on both client and server?

Yes, install on both sides (it changes anvil logic and GUI behavior). Config lives server-side for gameplay rules.
