What is Hostile Neural Networks?

Hostile Neural Networks (HNN) by Shadows_of_Fire, the spiritual successor to Deep Mob Learning, turns mob farming into a clean, lag-free simulation. Kill a mob a few times to train a Data Model of it, then run that model in a Simulation Chamber to generate its drops from FE, without any of the spawner rooms, entity lag, or light-level engineering a physical farm demands.

It is the standard answer for drops that are painful to farm at scale: ender pearls, wither skulls, blaze rods, and shulker shells.

Training Models and Fabricating Loot

  1. Craft a Deep Learner and a blank Data Model for your target mob family.
  2. Kill mobs with the Deep Learner in hand (or hotbar). Each kill adds data; models level up from Faulty through Basic, Advanced, and Superior to Self-Aware.
  3. Insert the model into a Simulation Chamber with FE and Prediction Matrices. Each simulation cycle consumes power and outputs a Prediction of that mob plus generic model data.
  4. Feed predictions into the Loot Fabricator, which converts each prediction into a choice of the mob's real drops — you pick which drop from the mob's table it produces.

Higher model tiers simulate faster with better success rates. Self-aware models keep leveling from chamber runs alone, so the manual killing phase ends once a model reaches Basic tier.

Tip: Ender Dragon and Wither models exist too; training them takes patience, but a dragon model fabricating dragon eggs or elytra-adjacent loot (pack-dependent tables) is peak HNN value.

Hostile Neural Networks FAQ

How do I level up a Data Model?

Kill the model's mob type with the Deep Learner in your inventory until it reaches Basic tier, then Simulation Chamber cycles continue leveling it automatically.

What power does the Simulation Chamber need?

It runs on Forge Energy at rates that scale with model tier; any mid-game generator sustains a chamber or two. The GUI shows per-cycle cost.

Does HNN replace mob farms completely?

For drops, largely yes. XP and player-kill-only items still favor real farms, so many bases run HNN for materials plus one small conventional grinder for experience.
