What is Industrial Foregoing?
Industrial Foregoing is an automation mod by Buuz135 for Forge and NeoForge, descended from the classic MineFactory Reloaded. It provides a machine for nearly every chore in the game: farming, animal ranching, mob killing, fluid handling, ore laser-mining, and enchanting, all powered by Forge Energy.
The mod's identity is its plastic economy: machines are built from plastic made out of tree latex, and progression runs through four tiers of machine frames.
Getting Started: Latex and Plastic
- Place a Tree Fluid Extractor against a log. It slowly drains Latex from the tree; oak works fine.
- Combine latex and water in a Latex Processing Unit to produce Dry Rubber, which smelts into Plastic.
- Craft a Pitiful Generator or feed FE from another mod to run the early machines.
- Build machine frames. The Pity frame unlocks basic machines; Simple, Advanced, and Supreme frames gate the later tiers.
- Automate a farm. The Plant Sower and Plant Gatherer pair into a compact crop or tree farm; the Hydrator and Fertilizer speed growth.
Biofuel is the mod's own fuel loop: a Bioreactor digests crops into biofuel that Biofuel Generators burn for strong early-to-mid power.
Signature Machines
- Mob Crusher – kills mobs in an area with looting upgrades and captures drops and XP as essence; the backbone of most mob farms.
- Mob Duplicator – spawns copies of a mob from a captured essence sample, feeding controlled farms.
- Mob Slaughter Factory – converts animals into Liquid Meat and Pink Slime, materials for higher machine tiers.
- Laser Drill – multiblock that generates ores from energy, weighted by colored lenses and the dimension it runs in.
- Animal Rancher, Feeder, and Baby Separator – full animal-farm automation.
- Wither Builder – places wither skulls and soul sand automatically for automated wither-killing rooms.
- Black Hole Units and Tanks – single-item and single-fluid mass storage that scales to the millions.
Tip: Essence from the Mob Crusher feeds the Mob Duplicator and the enchanting machines. Keep a dedicated essence tank line early; several late-game machines drink from it.
