What is FramedBlocks?
FramedBlocks by XFactHD solves the shape problem: it adds sixty-plus block shapes — slopes, corner transitions, prisms, arches, pillars, panes in odd geometries — that camouflage as any solid block in the game. Right-click a framed slope with stone bricks and it renders as stone brick, lighting and all.
Diagonal architecture, smooth roofs, and curved details become possible with any material, on Forge and NeoForge.
Framing in Practice
- Craft framed blocks from wood at low cost — the frame is a template, the applied block supplies the look.
- Apply camouflage: right-click the placed frame with the block whose texture it should wear; the Framed Hammer removes camo and reclaims it.
- Double blocks: several shapes accept two camo materials (slope top and bottom differ) for transitions between palettes.
- Special frames: framed doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, panels, and even collapsible blocks carry function plus disguise.
- The Blueprint copies a framed block's shape-plus-camo for fast repetition, and the Framing Saw converts between shapes at a bench.
Behavior notes: camouflaged frames inherit visual properties (including light emission from glowstone camo) while staying wood-tier to break. Shading and connected-texture edge cases are handled shockingly well, which is why detail builders swear by it.

Can FramedBlocks copy any block texture?
Any full solid block (and many special cases) applies as camouflage; the frame renders that block's texture and tint in its shape, including modded blocks.
Is there a Fabric version of FramedBlocks?
The mod targets Forge and NeoForge. Fabric builders reach for similar framed/hammer mods, but this implementation is Forge-family only.
