What is Rechiseled?

Rechiseled by SuperMartijn642 revives the classic Chisel formula: a chisel tool opens a preview GUI where any supported block converts among dozens of carved, bricked, tiled, and paneled variants — many with connecting textures that merge across placements into continuous patterns.

It covers Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge over a wide version range, with a companion API that lets other mods register their stones.

Chiseling Workflow

  1. Craft the Chisel — it is cheap to make and lasts through heavy reuse.
  2. Open the GUI with the chisel in hand: insert blocks, browse the variant grid with live preview, and convert in bulk at zero cost.
  3. Toggle connecting mode: variants marked as connecting merge their pattern across adjacent placements — the marble-wall effect that made Chisel famous.
  4. Chisel in-world: click placed blocks to cycle variants without breaking them.

Coverage spans stones, deepslate, planks, glass, obsidian, netherrack and more, with pack-added entries via the API. Combined with Chipped (bigger catalog, no connecting textures) the two mods cover essentially every texture-variant need; Rechiseled's niche is the connected patterns and the in-place cycling.

Rechiseled FAQ

How is Rechiseled different from Chipped?

Chipped offers a vastly larger variant catalog via workbenches; Rechiseled offers connecting-texture variants and an in-hand chisel workflow. Many packs run both.

Do conversions cost materials?

No, chiseling converts one-to-one between variants of the same base block, whether you work in the GUI or in-world.
