What is Flux Networks?
Flux Networks is a wireless energy mod for Forge. It replaces cable runs with named, password-protectable networks that move Forge Energy instantly between any connected blocks, across any distance and any dimension. One network can feed your mining dimension quarry, your base machines, and your armor charging from a single reactor room.
The mod adds real management on top: per-connection priorities and limits, live transfer graphs, and wireless charging for inventory items.
Setting Up a Network
- Make Flux Dust. Drop redstone dust onto an obsidian block and it converts into Flux Dust (the in-game guide book shows the exact ritual for your version).
- Create a network in any flux block's GUI — give it a name and a color, and set a password if you want it private.
- Place a Flux Plug next to your power source. Plugs pull energy into the network.
- Place Flux Points next to consumers. Points push energy out to machines, with per-point priority and rate limits.
- Add a Flux Controller to enable wireless charging of items in connected players' inventories.
Flux Storage blocks bank energy inside the network itself, smoothing out spiky producers like solar farms.
Tip: Priorities solve load balancing: give ore processing a higher priority than bulk storage charging, and the network starves the right things first when supply dips.
Flux Networks FAQ
How do you get Flux Dust in Flux Networks?
Drop redstone dust items onto obsidian; the mod transforms them into Flux Dust after a moment with a particle effect. The in-game manual demonstrates the mechanic.
Does Flux Networks work across dimensions?
Yes. Any flux point or plug on the same network transfers instantly regardless of dimension or distance, including to networks in mining dimensions.
What Minecraft versions does Flux Networks support?
Forge builds cover 1.10.2 through 1.20.1. For newer versions, packs typically substitute other wireless-energy options until a port arrives.
