What is Powah?
Powah! is a focused energy mod for Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. It does one thing well: generating, storing, and moving Forge Energy through seven escalating material tiers — Starter, Basic, Hardened, Blazing, Niotic, Spirited, and Nitro. Packs love it because it answers "where does my power come from?" without adding a whole tech tree of unrelated machines.
Every generator fills a clear niche and every block upgrades tier by tier, while the Energizing Orb gives the mod's crafting a flavor of its own.
Getting Started with Generators
- Craft the Energizing Orb and Energizing Rods. Place the orb with rods nearby (they float around it); recipes marked "energizing" charge items inside the orb using power from the rods. This loop crafts the mod's core materials like Energized Steel and Blazing Crystals.
- Start with a Furnator or Magmator. The Furnator burns solid fuels; the Magmator drinks lava. Both come in every tier.
- Add Thermo Generators. Placed over heat sources like magma blocks or lava, they produce passive FE around the clock — a favorite early setup is a Thermo Generator array over a lava pool.
- Mine Uraninite. This Powah ore fuels the Uraninite Reactor, the mod's multiblock centerpiece, which scales output with fuel efficiency augments of its own (carbon, redstone, coolant).
- Store and move power with Energy Cells and Energy Cables of matching tier, or link remote blocks wirelessly with Ender Gates and the Ender Network.
Tip: The Player Transmitter plus a Binding Card charges items in your inventory from base power, anywhere in the world.
Scaling to Nitro
Tier progression is the whole game in Powah. Each tier multiplies generator output and storage capacity, ending at Nitro, where a fully fed Nitro Reactor produces enough FE to run most packs single-handedly.
Reactor tips:
- The reactor is a 4-block-tall multiblock. Feed it uraninite, then add optional carbon for burn time, redstone for output, and a coolant like Dry Ice for efficiency.
- Output rises with steady temperature management; coolant matters at higher tiers.
- One Nitro Reactor with a full augment loadout outproduces large arrays of lower-tier generators in a fraction of the space.
Powah's Solar Panels round out the lineup for daytime passive power, and Batteries give portable charge for tools from other mods.
Powah! FAQ
Is Powah available on Fabric?
Yes. The maintained release, sometimes listed as Powah! (Rearchitected), publishes Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge builds for 1.18.2 onward.
How does the Energizing Orb work?
Place the orb with one or more Energizing Rods within a few blocks, power the rods, and put an energizing recipe's ingredients in the orb. The rods beam energy into the orb until the craft completes; more and higher-tier rods finish jobs faster.
Where do you find Uraninite?
Uraninite ore generates underground in the overworld (with a deepslate variant). It feeds the Uraninite Reactor directly, and higher-tier reactor fuels come from energizing it.
