What is Dank Storage?
Dank Storage by tfarecnim adds "danks": handheld containers where each slot holds far more than a vanilla stack. Seven tiers scale from a useful mining pouch to an endgame vault that fits in your hotbar, on Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric.
Danks automatically absorb matching items as you pick them up, which makes them the definitive answer to cobblestone, gravel, and mob-drop inventory spam during long mining trips.
Tiers and Everyday Use
| Tier | Slots | Per-slot capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Dank 1 | 9 | 256 |
| Dank 2 | 18 | 1,024 |
| Dank 3 | 27 | 4,096 |
| Dank 4 | 36 | 16,384 |
| Dank 5 | 45 | 65,536 |
| Dank 6 | 54 | 262,144 |
| Dank 7 | 81 | 2.14 billion |
Usage notes:
- Pickup modes cycle with a keybind: collect everything, collect only items already inside, or pause collection.
- Locked slots keep an item assigned even at zero, so your ore slots never fill with junk.
- Right-click placement works from the dank itself: select a block slot and build straight from stored thousands.
- The Dock block turns a dank into stationary storage that hoppers and pipes can fill and drain, bridging it into base automation.
- Tier upgrades apply to existing danks, contents intact.
Dank Storage FAQ
How do I stop a dank from picking everything up?
Cycle the pickup mode keybind to "existing items only" and lock the slots you care about. The tooltip shows the active mode.
Can automation interact with danks?
Yes, through the Dock block. A docked dank behaves as a normal high-capacity inventory for hoppers and pipes.
What versions does Dank Storage cover?
Releases span 1.12.2 through 1.21.1, with Forge builds historically and NeoForge plus Fabric builds on current versions.
