What is Relics?

Relics by SSKirillSS turns accessory items into progression systems: each relic (found in loot, not crafted) carries unique active or passive abilities that level up with use and spend points in a per-item skill tree. It runs on Forge and NeoForge with Curios providing the slots.

Where Artifacts items are fixed-power trinkets, Relics items grow — a starter relic can end the game as a build cornerstone.

Finding and Leveling Relics

  • Acquisition: relics appear in structure loot and special drops; each is unique in mechanics — a belt that stores potion charges, boots with momentum-based dashes, an amulet managing shields, a totem tampering with death.
  • Leveling: using a relic's ability earns it experience; levels grant points.
  • Skill trees: every relic has its own tree of upgrades navigated in its tuning GUI — stronger effects, lower cooldowns, sometimes whole new sub-abilities — with respec options at a cost.
  • Balancing: relic power budgets are pack-configurable, and abilities interact with the mod's own stat system (cooldowns, charges) rather than flat stat sticks.

The collectible-plus-buildcraft loop makes Relics popular in RPG-leaning packs beside Iron's Spells and combat overhauls: your trinket loadout becomes a genuine character build.

Relics FAQ

How do I level up a relic?

Use it: each relic gains experience from its own ability being exercised, then spend earned points in that relic's skill tree GUI.

Does Relics require Curios?

Yes, relics equip into Curios slots on Forge/NeoForge; packs bundle the dependency automatically.
