What is Regions Unexplored?
Regions Unexplored (RU) adds over seventy biomes across the overworld and Nether on Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge, with an art direction that leans painterly: saturated foliage colors, unusual block palettes, and landscapes composed like concept art. It rose quickly to staple status in 1.19–1.21 era packs.
New wood types, plants, and stone variants arrive with the biomes, so builders gain a palette alongside the scenery.
Signature Biomes
Highlights players search for:
- Magnolia Woodland – pink-white canopies over rolling meadows.
- Redwoods – colossal sequoia analogues with usable mega-timber.
- Blackwood Forest – dense, dark, and genuinely oppressive at night.
- Bayou and Marsh – proper swampland with cypress-style trees.
- Prismatic caverns and flower fields – the saturated showcase zones.
- Nether additions – overgrown and mineral-themed biomes that make Nether travel scenic.
RU registers via TerraBlender-style regions and coexists with the other big biome mods; its config exposes per-biome toggles for pack tuning. Nature's Compass covers locating specific entries from its long roster.
