What is PneumaticCraft: Repressurized?
PneumaticCraft: Repressurized, maintained by desht for Forge and NeoForge, is a tech mod where the working resource is compressed air, measured in bar of pressure. Air behaves like a real gas here. Over-pressured machines and tubes explode unless safety valves vent the excess, and learning to manage pressure tiers is the mod's core skill.
Its reward for the added danger is a distinctive toolkit: programmable drones, modular Pneumatic Armor, an oil-to-fuels refinery chain, and the plastic-and-circuits crafting line behind them.
Getting Started Under Pressure
- Craft an Air Compressor. It burns solid fuel to build pressure, piped out through Pressure Tubes.
- Respect the limits. Low-tier machines tolerate up to 5 bar. Fit Safety Valve Tubes early; the explosion lesson is expensive.
- Build a Pressure Chamber. This multiblock crafts by pressure: iron plus air becomes Compressed Iron, the mod's foundation material. An interface pair automates item flow in and out.
- Set up etching. The UV Light Box and Etching Tank produce Printed Circuit Boards from plastic sheets, gating the advanced machines.
- Drill for oil. Pump surface oil lakes, then run a Refinery heated by compressed-air heat sources to split oil into diesel, kerosene, gasoline, and LPG for Liquid Compressors and combustion engines.
Heat is a parallel system to pressure: many machines need heating or cooling via heat frames, vortex tubes, and heat sinks.
Drones and Pneumatic Armor
Drones are flying robots programmed with a drag-and-drop puzzle-piece language in the Programmer. Programs chain areas and actions: dig this quarry, harvest that farm, pick up items, place blocks, attack mobs, or restock inventories. Pre-programmed variants (Harvesting, Logistics, Guard drones) cover common jobs without custom programs.
Pneumatic Armor is the mod's power armor: each piece charges with air and accepts upgrade modules — jet boots for flight, magnet, night vision, block tracker, hacking (disable spawners and creepers from range), and inventory chargers. The armor GUI manages module power draw per piece.
Late game adds the Assembly Line (robotic arms crafting advanced components), Aphorism Tiles for base flavor, and the Amadron airship trading network that delivers goods for barter.

Why do my PneumaticCraft machines explode?
Pressure exceeded the machine or tube tier's safe limit. Add Safety Valve Tubes to cap pressure, use Pressure Gauges to monitor, and step up to reinforced components before compressing past 5 bar.
How do I make Compressed Iron?
Two routes: explode iron ingots or blocks (lossy but instant), or craft them safely inside a Pressure Chamber at 2 bar.
Are drones hard to program?
The puzzle-piece Programmer has a learning curve, but starter programs need only three or four pieces (start, area, dig, item pickup). Pre-programmed drones handle farming, logistics, and guarding with zero programming.
