What is Create: Crafts & Additions?
Create: Crafts & Additions (often just "Create Additions") by MRH0 is the standard bridge between Create's rotational power and the Forge Energy used by everything else. It converts kinetics to FE and back, letting water wheels charge your Mekanism machines or a Powah reactor spin your Create factory.
It ships for Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric alongside matching Create versions.
Key Machines
- Alternator – consumes rotation, produces FE. Stack several on one shaft for more output.
- Electric Motor – consumes FE, produces rotation with configurable speed. The reverse bridge, and a compact stress source for small builds.
- Accumulator – large FE battery that also buffers between the two systems.
- Copper Wires and Connectors – simple energy wiring strung between connector blocks, Immersive Engineering style.
- Rolling Mill – kinetic machine that rolls ingots into rods and wires, feeding the mod's own recipes and several other tech mods' materials.
- Tesla Coil – charges items on a belt below it and zaps mobs as a defensive bonus.
- Portable Energy Interface – moves FE in and out of Create contraptions, so mining machines can run on batteries.
A classic early build: a large water wheel bank or windmill driving Alternators into an Accumulator — respectable free FE from pure Create-era materials.
Create: Crafts & Additions FAQ
How much FE does an Alternator produce?
Output scales with rotation speed and the configured conversion rate (pack-dependent). Faster shafts and more alternators on the line raise total generation; the goggles overlay reports exact numbers.
Can the Electric Motor replace windmills and water wheels?
Yes, given FE supply. Its speed is adjustable by scroll-clicking, and its stress capacity depends on speed, so large factories may need several motors or gearing.
Is Create required?
Yes, Crafts & Additions is an addon and needs a matching Create version installed.
