What are Macaw's Mods?
Macaw's Mods, by sketch_macaw, are the modular building series: Doors, Windows, Trapdoors, Fences and Walls, Bridges, Roofs, Furniture, Lights and Lamps, Paintings, and Paths and Pavings — each a standalone mod covering one architectural element exhaustively across every wood and stone type.
They run on Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric with enormous combined download counts, and packs cherry-pick the modules their builders want.
The Series at a Glance
- Macaw's Doors: barn doors and saloon swings, japanese sliders, garage doors, and jail gates — doors become architecture.
- Macaw's Windows: mullioned, arched, shuttered, and stained variants with matching blinds and window sills.
- Macaw's Roofs: actual sloped roof blocks (attic, top, and gutter pieces) that end staircase-roof suffering.
- Macaw's Bridges: rope, wood, stone, and rail bridges with proper walkways and supports — the series' most famous module.
- Macaw's Furniture: wardrobes, desks, drawers, chairs, couches, sinks, and kitchen counters, sittable and storage-capable where sensible.
- Macaw's Fences and Walls: picket fences, hedge walls, railings, and modern barriers.
- Macaw's Lights, Paintings, Paths, and Trapdoors bring matching depth to each of those elements.
Cross-module consistency is the draw: everything shares wood-type coverage and style language, so a build furnished head-to-toe in Macaw's reads coherent. Biome-mod compat addons extend the sets to modded woods.
Macaw's Mods FAQ
Do I need all the Macaw's mods?
No, each module is standalone. Install the elements you build with; they share style but not dependencies (beyond per-module libraries where noted).
Do Macaw's mods support modded wood types?
Compat addons (and Every Compat integration in many packs) generate Macaw variants for modded woods from Biomes O' Plenty, BWG, and others.
