What is Hexerei?
Hexerei by JoeFoxe is a witchcraft mod for Forge and NeoForge steeped in herbal folklore. You dry herbs on racks and brew them in the Mixing Cauldron, dip your own candles, befriend crows, and eventually fly a hand-built broom. The art direction, all crooked candles and hanging sage bundles in willow swamps, carries as much appeal as the mechanics.

Craft, Brew, and Fly
- Herbalism: grow and dry belladonna, mandrake, mugwort, and sage; herbs feed every recipe line, and the drying rack is your first station.
- Mixing Cauldron: multi-step fluid brewing — add ingredients in sequence to transform the brew, producing potions, dyes, and crafting reagents beyond vanilla brewing's reach.
- Candle making: dip and layer custom candles with effects and swirl patterns; they double as some of the best decorative lighting in modded.
- Crows: tame them with seeds and they will perch where directed and deliver items, familiar-style helpers with genuinely charming animation work.
- Brooms: assemble from handle, brush, and trinket parts; fly with momentum-based physics, add satchel attachments for storage, and dye the brush. Broom racing is an unofficial server sport.
- Willow swamps and structures generate with the mod's wood set and witch-hut energy.
